CareLinkSF (eClinicalWorks) Launch Dates for SFGH Clinics

CareLinkSF (eClinicalWorks) Launch Dates for SFGH Clinics

We’re delighted to announce that SFGH’s Gastroenterology and Hepatology Clinics (3D) launched CareLinkSF, the new ambulatory electronic health record, on 11/26/12.  3D joins the Children’s Health Center (6M) as our first SFGH campus clinics on the system, along with 4 COPC clinics (Ocean Park, Chinatown, Castro Mission, and Maxine Hall).  Over the past 18 months, we have successfully streamlined the process, from preparation through launch to decrease the time to get clinics back up to full clinical capacity.  We will launch 2 more COPC clinics this academic year: Silver Avenue this January and Southeast this spring.

Our next SFGH clinic to go live will be 1M Adult Medicine Clinics this summer, followed by a rapid succession of clinics during the 2013-2014 academic year into the fall of 2014. Below are the anticipated go-live dates for each clinic, as well as a “kick-off” date when we will begin baseline assessments and planning with your clinic teams.  Lukejohn Day, Marika Russell, Ronald Labuguen, Susan Fisher-Owens, and I will the core physician champions working with your clinics through this process. We will contact each of your clinics in the near future to explain the timeline, project plan, and immediate next steps.

In the meantime, please note that outpatient visit notes from CareLinkSF are now visible in LCR documents. Medication reconciliation should be done using the Enterprise Medication List (in bold on the left menu of LCR), SFDPH’s summary of all recent med changes from LCR, CareLinkSF, ED’s Pulsecheck, Ward 86’s Hero, and the Jail Health Chart.

We look forward to working with your clinics in the coming months. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Congratulations to Lukejohn and the 3D team on their successful launch!
