May I come in without an appointment?

Yes, we have a limited number of slots available for those without appointments.  Not everyone dropping in will be able to be seen that day, but we will provide you with options to get the care you need.

What if I have an emergency?

Call 911, or go to the nearest Emergency Room.

May I speak to a nurse on the phone about my health problem(s) and/or to get lab results?

How may I get my medication refilled?

Please contact your pharmacy first.

The Pharmacy will contact your medical provider to approve the refill.

Mediction refills are usually ready within 3-5 days. For Pain Medication Refills, you may need to be seen by a provider. Please call (355-7500) for an appointment.

May I still go to 50 Ivy Street for Urgent Care Services?

Yes!  Tom Waddell Urgent Care Clinic remains available to you at 50 Ivy Street.

NOTE: Many medications, including pain medications, may not be refilled at Tom Waddell Urgent Care Clinic.

Do I have to pay for health services?

Tom Waddell Urban Health Clinic accepts the following insurance plans: San Francisco Health Network, Medi-Cal, Medi-Care, and Healthy San Francisco.  Some patients will have a co-payment due at the time of the visit, but no patient will be denied services due to the ability to pay.

What if I need a form filled out?

Please drop your form off with at the Information Desk.  It may take between 7 and 10 days for your provider or nurse to process the form for you.
